The results of the recent Taranaki championship meeting proved that Hawera has a very strong team- in all departments, as shown by. the fact that the club maintained the cham- - pionship for twelve events and held a long lead on Fitzroy for the championship banner. These facts, indicate that the carnival on Thursday next-at Hawora will he replete with attraction.
