HAWERA MOTOR CYCLE CLUB
MOVE FOR- RESUSCITATION. - .PUBLIC M EETING TO BE HELD. A public meeting will be held in the Hawera Borough Chambers on Monday evening in an endeavour to resuscitate the Hawera Motor-Cycle (Jh.b, which a few years ago was a strong and active body, hut latterly has been in recess. Mr. W. A. Spragg, Hawera, president of the New Zealand Motor-Cycle Union,- pointed out yesterday the interest taken in mo-tor-cycling in other parts of tlie province and instanced the success of hill-elijmlbnig and reliability trials in Taranaki Motorcyclists round Hawera, continued Mr Spragg, had noticed what other clubs were doing and he had had enquiries from a number. Tlie prominence of the- Hawera Club previously was recalled and riders wished it to be revived. Steps were accordingly being taken to permit a resumption of activities, though what form these would take would not be known until tlie views of members were learned.
