WORLD ECONOMIC FARLEY
ORGANISING COMMISSION CHOICE OF THE PRESIDENT BRITISH PRIME MINISTER. (British Official Wireless.) Received 12.40 p.m. to-day. RUGBY, Jan. 25. . The British Foreign Secretary (Sir John Simon) has arrived at Geneva. He presided at a meeting of the commission for the organisation of the world economic and monetary conference, which is to meet at London. The commission decided to adjourn for three months, and on resuming, will fix a date for the London conference.
On the proposition of the French delegates, seconded (by the United States, the representatives unanimously agreed that Mr Ramsay MacDonald be asked to be the president of the world conference.
