PEOPLE’S DAY ASSEMBLY

BIG CROWD ATTRACTED ADMIRATION OF DISPLAY. PARADE AND RING EVENTS. Excellent weather conditions prevailed for the People’s Day at the ( Stratford Show yesterday and the countryside crowded into Stratfoid, with the result that there were record attendances. The competitions in the ring held the interest of the big crowd throughout the afternoon. The jumping was of a very high standard and the judge was very enthusiastic over the display and commended the competitors warmly. The Grand Parade was excellently staged and made a most imposing spectacle. On the first day 199 cars were parked at the grounds and on the second day 836 cars. Tlie South Taranaki Automobile Association officer (Mr J. McKee) gave appreciated service to 30 cars during the day, in addition to participating, in the control of traffic. THE PRIZE LIST.
