The British participators in the English, French and German bankers’ consortium, capitalised at. £136,000,000, to finance public works in Europe and the Near East, are Brigadier-General Baring' and Baron Schroeder. It is explained that the British Government had no connection with the constortium ; the agreement .was negotiated by international banking houses.
