Playing at Kaponga on Saturday in the western division of the Taranaki bowling competition the Piiliama team was successful in defeating Kaponga The results were as follow, Kapomga rinks being mentioned first: Pascoe, Hammersley, V. Tait, Oran 17 v. Lambie, Hikaka, Edwards, Julian 28. Malone, A. Taft, Gardner, Tyaclc 21 v. Ruakere, Glengarry, Riley,.'Tito 24. THE 11 AW KEN STARS. During, the week-end a Piliamu team played a challenge match against the Opunake team, the holders, of the' Hawken Stars, and were successful in defeating their opponents after a very close game.
