PERSONAL'. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Miss L. King, who has been a popular postmistress at Auroa for several years, is shortly lelinquislung her work' in the office. Miss King carried out her many duties in a most conscientious manner and endeared herself to all by her thoroughness and her courtesy. . Mrs Walter Elvans is an inmate of the hospital at Tangarakau. Auroa. is losing more popular residents' in Mr and Mrs Kruse, who are leaving to live at Awatuna. Both have helped in every good cause for the district and Mr Kruse, being a- man who can “put his hand to anything,” was always able to get anyone out of a difficulty on the farm or in the home. A large number of residents from Auroa attended the funeral of tlie late Mr Andrew Lees, of Okaiawa. who was held in the highest esteem for his sterling qualities. Mr Duncan Poole;, of Wellington, is visiting friends at Auroa. Mr Poole, who is a member of tlie Apollo choir in Wellington, frequently beard singing from 2YA.
