HONEYMOON IN AEROPLANE

. ALARM WITHOUT CAUSE. Mr. and Mrs. S. Downes-Martin were married on Monday, July 11, flew away in a brand new aeroplane oil Thursday, were reported missing on Friday, and turned up safe and sound on Saturday, after the ether had been burned up by SOS calls for two days. They were at the most natural of all places for a honeymoon couple—Deauville. They were the most puzzled couple alive after their return. “What’s all the fuss about?” said Mr. Downes-Martin in an interview over the telephone. “We started from Heston to Le Bouquet on Thursday. Everything was fine. Then we thought we would fly on to Deauville. Could a honeymoon couple do better. And this afternoon I found that we were supiposed to have fallen into the sea, or crashed into a forest, or got lost somewhere in Europe!” Mr Downes-Martin, who. is a marine engineer, is a skilled pilot. His wife was formerly Miss Lily Morley, an expert skater, and instructress at a London ice rink.
