CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Communion services will be conducted at St. John’s Presbyterian Church both morning and evening to-morrow by the Rev. R, E. Evans. These services will mark the close of the ministry of Mr. Evans at Hawera. JVli*. Evans will also conduct the Communion Service at Mokoia at 2 p.m. The Rev. John Ings will commence his ministry at the Hawera Baptist Church to-morrow. At the morning service he will take as his subject, “Man’s Supreme Question’’ and in the evening “Jesus Christ’s Paramount Claim.’’

The Rev. E. S. Emmitt will conduct the services at the Hawera Methodist Church to-morrow at II a.m. and 7 p.m. The choir will sing Dank’s “Unto- Thee O Lord,’’ and Noble’s “Fierce was the Wild Billow” at the morning and evening services respectively. Mr. Emmitt’s morning subject will be “The Right Hand,” and his evening discourse will be on the subject “Incurably Curious.” Mr. J. Barkla will bo at' Normanby at 2 p.m. and Mr. Emmitt at Meremere at 2.30. To all services citizens are cordially invited. The Methodist Church service to be held to-morrow at Okaiawa will commence at 2 p.m., not at 7 p.m. as advertised yesterday. Adjutant Mackenzie will conduct special services to-mrorow in the Salvation Army Hall, Victoria Street, Hawera, commencing with the early morning prayer meeting. The morning’s service will be specially devoted to the deepening of the spiritual life of Christians, while the subject for the evening service will be “Blockades on the Road to Hell.” All are invited to the services. z
