LOYAL UNION LODGE. Bro. J. Dombroski, 1.P.N.G., presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Union Lodge, Manchester Unity of Oddfellows held at Hawera on Tuesday evening. A discussion ensued following upon the report from members who met the doctors with a. view to making a new contract.
Bro. Dingle was chosen to select a ping pong team from the lodge to. play at St. Joseph’s Hall next Tuesday. Lecture master Bro. C. Allen, assisted by Past Grands Bros. Cresswell and Hingston, conferred the past officers degrees to the following: Past Grands degree, Bro. V. Gerrand; Past Noble Grands degree, Bro. J. Dombroski ; Past Elective secretary’s degree, Sister R. Foster. N.G. Bro. L. Lewis who was unable to be present at the meeting; will be given his Past Vice Grands degree next meeting. Three new members were initiated into the Order by the presiding officers. It was decided that the Elective Secretary be in charge of the signing of the liew attendance book. Supner is as served by the Sisters, after which an informal ping pong competition was played.
