UNEMPLOYMENT BOiARID LOAN
HELP FOR LAUNCHING OF PROJECT. Advice .received from Mr H. G. Dickie., M.P., to-day istates that the application made by him personally to the Unemployment Board in Wellington for financial assistance in launching the onlon-growing scheme for Hawera unemployed boys had Ibeen sympathetically received and the board had agreed to make an advance sufficient to launch.' the. project and carry it over the initial stages. Details of the board’s offer are lacking at present, but > the Boys’ Work Committee will meet immediately upon receipt of fuller information. It is confidently expected that it will be possible to make' an early start upon the undertaking.
