In winning all three of its matches in the international' hockey championship in the past season at Home, England scored 19 goals and had only ; three scored against it. Ireland; which won two matches and lost one, scored six goals and had four scored against it. Scotland, beaten twice, scored two goals and had’ 12" scored against it. Wales, which did not win a game, scored three goals and had 11 scored against it. "Known as the “Indian Bradman/’ G. K. Naidu, who scored a century for the Indian cricket team against the M.O.C. in the recent match of the tourists, is a bfilliaht batsman when in good form. In an iframgs of 153 which he made against the Id’st M.C.C. team in India, he hit 11 sixes and 13 * fours. Altogether he has scored over 90 centuries and three double-centuries in first-class and good club cricket, and often has made over 1000 runs in a season. Last' year he went to England and captained the Indian Gymkhana team in club cricket. He made a bad start then, with “clucks” in all his first five innings, but then got iised to English Wickets and in the remainder of the season he scored over 1000 runs, which included five centuries. Naidu is a stylish and exhilarating batsman. He is also a good medium-paced righthand bowler and a fine slips field. Hei is 36 years of age.
