OHANGAI
(EUCHRE AND DANCE SOCIAL, (From Our Own Correspondent). A record attendance assembled at the euchre party and dance held on Friday night, the committee having to provide an extra table. Fourteen games of euchre wel’e played. Miss E. Harding won the ladies’ first prize with 11 games and Mrs. E. Radford the second with 10 games. The men’s first prize was won by Mr. W. Radford with 11 games and the second by Mr. W. Bennett with 10 games. Music for the dance was supplied by Mrs, Bennett, Mrs. Trott, Miss T. Dyson and Messrs 0. Radford and H. Dickson. Mr. J. Trilford was M.C. BASKETBALL. On Wednesday afternoon the Ohangai basketball team played a return friendly match with Hawera Convent at Ohangai, the local team winning by three goals to two. Goals were thrown for Ohangai by Misses L. Hamilton and M. T'r-ott and for Convent by E. Pivac and C. Brady. Miss S. Seaver refereed. Later in the afteri^oon .a combined team of Ohangain and Convent players played a combined team of Maori girls from tile pa. The latter were defeated by 5 goals to nil. The goals were thrown by S. Seaver, jl*. Hamilton and C. Brady. Miss E. Patched refereed.
