VICTIM OF BOMB OUTRAGE.
(United Pres® Association —By Electric Telegra Copyright.)
SHANGHGAI, May 24
Despite premature reports of his death, General Shirakawa, who was created a baron yesterday, clings tenaciously to a slight thread of life. A last-minute effort to save his life was made this morning when a blood transfusion was given. General Shirakawa was injured in the recent bomb outrage at Shanghai.
A message despatched from Shanghai on Monday stated that the death of General Shirakawa occurred about noon though the Japanese authorities refrained from announcing the death and had stated the patient’s condition was grave.
