EXPORT VALUES INCREASED. ' FIGURES FOR FOUR MONTHS. (Bv Telesrrjiph—Press Association.} WELLINGTON, May 24. Figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for April, 1932, show exports valued at £4,957,535 and imports valued at £1,760,689. For the corresponding period of last year the figures were £2,746,191 and £2,080,163 respectively. For the period of four months ended in April, 1932, the exports were valued at £16,457,136 and the imports at £7,609,972. For the corresponding four months’ period of last year the figures were £14,902,609 and £9,576,882 respectively. The values shown for exports are the declared f.o.b. values in terms of New Zealand currency, while imports are valued on the basis of values in the exporting countries, plus 10 per cent.
