OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. “STAMBOUL.” The new Paramount British film, “Stamboul,” which shows at the Hawera Opera House to-night and tomorrow night, was produced at Paramount’s Elstree studios, and includes in its exceptionally strong cast, the following well known players, Rosita Moreno, who was seen in “The Santa Fe Trail,” with Richard Alien, Margot Graliame, Warwick Ward, Garry Marsh, Abraham Sofaer, Little Eric Pavitt, and Henry Hewitt. The story of Stamboul deals with a man who, torn with pity for the sufferings of the woman he loved, took the law into his own hands, and avenged her wrongs on the brutal husband who was exploiting even her mother love for his own selfish ends. Seats may he reserved at Miss Blake’s. CHARLES DICKENS’ STORY. Charles Dickens’ immortal story “Dombey and Son,” released as “Rich Alan’s Folly”, opens at the Opera House at Thursday’s matinee. It stars George Bancroft as the modern Midas —a multi-millionaire, who lets ambition crowd love from his life—and suffers the penalty until he redeems himself. Francis Hee, Robert Ames and •Juliette Compton are the other .stars who make this picture real and moving.
