Profesor Lamont, lecturer in French at Pretoria University, was tarred aiul feathered by four men and damped m the centre of the city, clad only in bathing trunks, at eleven o clock tins morning. ' „ „ ~ „ The outrage arose out of reflections on Africanders appearing in the nook “War, Wine and Women,” winch, it is alleged, Professor Lamont wrote.
