RENUNCIATION OF WAR
c. LABOUR UNION’S CONFERENCE. VIEWS ON DISARMAMENT. f(Ti lted Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) ZURICH, May 22. Mr. Walter M. L. Citrine, president opening the Federation of the Trades and Labour Unions’ international joint conference on disarmament, demanded the renunciation of war as instrument of national policy. He added that Geneva had not begun t-o discuss disarmament but had spent the time debating the alternatives thereto. The essential requirements were fair treatment to Germany and the prohibition of the private manufacture and export of arms.
