OKAIAWA
FUNERAL OF MR R. W. HARTLEY.

A. large gathering of relatives and friends assembled at the funeral of the late Air R. W. Hartley on Saturday. A service was held at the Anglican Church, Okaiawa, by the Rev. C. W. Solomon, of Manaia, who also officiated at the graveside. A number of beautiful wreaths were sent by friends all over the district and the bearers were Messrs Henry, Jack and Joseph Hartley, C. Rowlands, 0. Clark and W. P. Herbert. Air Hartley had been a respected resident of the district on the Burgon Road for a number of years and had been in ill-health for about two years. He was unmarried and had lived with his own people and leaves three brothers in the district.
