A distressing fatality occurred at Kail what a yesterday when Bornie Robinson Bennett, aged 14 months, the son of Mr M. R. Bennett, was accidentally killed through falling from a heavy dray. . . . Mr Bennett was carting soil in a vehicle on his farm, and had scooped a hole in the load and placed his son secure!v in the corner .Having unfastened the gate ho looked to see whethei the child was all right, and then turned •his back momentarily "bo lead, tiie horse through the gate. On looking round a,train he found 'his. son missing from, the dray, and on investigation was shocked' to find the body which had been crushed under blic vehicle of "tne dl q?he child, who had fallen out of the vehicle, died within a few minutes.
