N.Z. TO AUSTRALIAN STOCKS. LONDON JOURNAL’S OPINION. Unite' 1 Press k *sostatlc>n —lt” Electric Telegraph cop>rigbt.l LONDON, May 22. A. feature of the week’s Dominion stocks, says the “News-Chronicle,” has been tlie strength of Australian stocks owing to the dismissal of Mr Lang and the publication of favourable trade returns. Buyers of Australian stocks are now seeking the highest yields. These are given by New South Wales 4 per cent, stock redeemable in 1933 and 3 per cents, redeemable in 1935. The paper recommends the holders of New Zealand stock to consider a partial change into Australian stock as the economic committee’s report shows that New Zealand’s position is serious, with a strong temptation to devaluate tho New Zealand pound.
