SUNDAY SERVICES
FT A AVER A CHURCHES. This Sunday at 6.30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel at Hawera, Adjutant Mackenzie will give an address entitled, God’s X-Rays. He will endeavour to lay before people their true state before God. Prior to the address there will be a season of congregational singing. To-morrow Sunday will he observed а, Hawera Jubilee iSuudaiy at the Baptist Church. Special addresses will he given by Rev. T. Keith Ewen in keeping with the occasion . At the morning service Air. EAven will take as his subject “a true memorial” and in the evening “The year of jubilee.” To enable the congregation to attend the rendering of “The Creation” in the Opera House the evening service will commence at 6.30 p.m. Present world conditions in the light of Bible prophecy is to be the subject- of Pastor L. R. Harvey’s opening lecture at the Rows Tearooms at Hawera. on Sunday night. Lectures and unfolding Bible prophecies will he continued every Sunday night- at- 7 p.m. The jubilee Sunday meeting is at б. o.iii.
The services, morning, and evening, at -St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Hawera, to-morrow will he in keeping with the jubilee season. 'Hie Rev. R. E. Evans will speak in the morning from “Pioneer Trails, the Foundation’’ and will tell briefly the story of the pioneers of the church at Hawera. In the evening Air. Evans will take for his subject. “Pioneer Trails—the Building.” In this address the speaker will deal with the question “Is the building we are erecting worthy of the great foundation which' has been so well and truly laid?” There will not be anv Bible class or Sunday gatherings to-morrow, nor will there be a service at Alokoia.
