The final lawn tenis match between Japan and Australia, was Continued to-day in perfect weather. Critics declare that ‘ Satoll’s speed against Crawford has never been eclipsed in first-class tennis in Australia. He had the great crowd on the tiptoe of excitement all the time. The results were:
Singles. Hopinan (Australia) beat Nunoi (Japan), 2 —o, 6 —2, 6—3. Sproulc (Australia) beat Kara da (Japan), 6—-4, 6 —3. Crawford (Australia) beat Satoh (Japan), 6 —4, I—6,1 —6, 6—3. Doubles. Hoprnan and Sproule beat Uarada and Nunoi, 6 —l, •>—7, 6—4. Australia has now won six rubbers and ]3sets and 103 games, and Japan two rubbers, 8 sets and 90 games. "The test eonelmles to-morrow.
