WAVERLEY.
GOLF CLUB BALL,
A marked success was achieved by the Wayerley Golf Club on Friday evening, at the annual ball in the Town Hall. There was a very large crowd, including visitors from Hawera, Patea an<| "Wanganui. The function was well up to the standard of past years. The hall was artistically decorated and presented a picturesque scene, with the contrasting effect of the costumes of the ladies against a background of floral devices and effective greenerv. Messrs. G. P. Spratt, P. G. Bremer, D S. Craig, H. Cowdell and .1. Rogers acted' as M.’s. C., and much credit is certainly due to them. Mr. D. S'. Craig, as secretary, deserves special praise for his energetic manner in arrangements for the success ot the ball.
