It was resolved that no active professional wrestler should be allowed to referee a professional contest in future. It was agreed to hold amateur wrestling championships at Wellington towards the end of the season. In every amateur competition the value of the trophy for the winner is to he £1 Is. The following officers were elected: Patron, Major-General Sir George Richardson; president, iMr H. D. Bennett; vice-presidents, Messrs J. A. Brown (.Dunedin), P. iClimie (iChristchurch), the president of the Southland Association, J. Creeke (Wellington), G. Watchorn (Palmerston North) and G. Henning (Auckland); honorary solicitor, Mr J. D. Willis; honorary secre-tary-treasurer, Mr R. W. Shallcrass; honorary auditors, Messrs H. F. Allen and Sons; management (committee, Messrs J. iM. P. Connelly, J. D. Willis, J. Creeke, 'G. Watchorn, E. Lynneberg and another to bo elected by the committee.

TOURNAMENT AT HAW ERA. Eight, excellent bouts have been arranged for the wrestling tournament to be held in the football gymnasium, Princes Street, Hawera, to-morrow evening in aid of funds for the improvement of the gymnasium. Wrestling has become increasingly popular of recent years and the bouts; arranged for fhi.s( tournament .should increase that popularity'. The star bout will be one of six rounds, between Bert Bailey and Doug. Tito. These men have met recently on two occasions, both of which resulted in a draw, and each is anxious to obtain the decision on Tuesday. Seven other preliminaries have been arranged., and with such matmen. as Faina, Ngaia, Symes, Murdoch, Raugi Rum, Iki, Johnny, the Blair and Quin brothers hilled to appear, some thrilling contests should be provided. The first bout will be a, novelty one between two midget wrestlers' Seating has been arranged for 200 to 300 visitors and this should be taxed to the utmost.
