Following the recent establishment of the police motor patrol, equipped with fast oars and motor cycles to deal with road offenders ,it is announced that the Thames River Police, whose duties include the protection of . valuable cargoes on vessels anchored in the river, are to have motor boats capable of tli£. highest speeds and equipped with wireless to enable close co-oper-ation with the shore police.
