TRUCK PLUNGES OVER BANK
DRIVER KILLED OUTRIGHT. TWO OTHERS ESCAPE. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) CAMBRIDGE, April 7. Late yesterday afternoon on the Horahora-Maungatatauri Road a light motor truck owned and driven by Alfred William Head, married, 54 years of age, p, farmer, skidded in loose metal and capsized down a steep gully. The vehicle plunged about 50 feet, somersaulting several times. The driver was killed, hi:s- neck being broken. Head’s wife and son, who were also on the truck, were not seriously injured. though severely shaken. The vehicle was badlv smashed.
