The Grand Orange Lodge —: New Zealand in session yesterday parsed a reisolution recording regret at the passing of the Nurses and Midwives Amendment Bill thus prejudicing the istaltus gf the nursing profession and placing sectarian hospitals in competition with public' liospitajs for State aid. The session also objected to the exemption of lay teachers in certain ■private schools from the payment of the unemployment levy, protested against the extension of dental clinic service to scholars of denominational schools' and renewed the protest against free railway travel to children of denominational schools. Dominion officers. elected were: R'.W.G.M., Bro. Galbraith (Auckland); G.D.M., Bro. Atgnew (Southland); G. 0., Bro. Ben fell (Dunedin); G.S.. Brio. Patton (Dunedin) ; G.T., Bro. 'Pagan (FKilding) ; G.F. committee, Bros. Warren (Canterbury), Hunter (' Wellington), H.ollinger * (Christchurch) Elliott (Auckland), Legge (Christchurch), and An nett (Tim am).
