BAN ON PARROT IMPORTS
ENTRY TO DOMINION
RESTRICTIONS VARIED
(Bv Telegraph—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, April 6. Slight variations have been agreed to by the Government in the restrictions imposed on parrot importations. Consideration is to be given to any application for permission to import members of the parot family for public zoo purposes, or from persons desiring to import such birds otherwise than for sale. The existing ban with regard to other birds has been removed.
Applications to import will be considered on the same lines as prior to the imposition of the ban. All birds, of course, must have a clean bill of health.
