SUPREME COURT SENTENCES
THEFT OF JEWELLERY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MASTER-TON, March 5. At the Supreme Court to-day Jack Gordon, was sentenced to 12 months Imprisonment for the* theft of jewellery fro-m a house* at Carterton.
HAMILTON CASES. VARIOUS OFFENCES. (j>y telegraph —Press Association.) HAMILTON, March 5. At the Hamilton Supreme Court this morning Alexander Geson and Russell William James Henry, for forgery and uttering at* Rotorua, were each placed on probation for two years. Alan David IVlcGregor, for the theft •of £4, a cheque,' a wallet and stamps from Bishoipsicourt, Hamilton, uns placed on probation for three years John Lynch, for attempted breaking and entering at Morrinsville, received twelve months’ hard labour. Joseph Pollard Tettam, for indecent assault, was placed on probation for one year. His Honour said the sentence was utyus-unl, but the case was also unusual. Bernard Walker, a native, for forgery,- theft and false pretences, was sentenced to two* terms of two and one term of three years’ reformative detention, the sentences to he tfonenrven.
