The. weather was fine and there was a satisfactory attendance for the Fleanington races. Home Made was last early, ibut outstayed the opposition in the'Hurdles and won nicely. Blast, Romeo, and Certitude fell. Semitist was third early and won the Gibson Carmichael Stakes easily. He also won at Flemington on New Year’s Day. Myavin was last at the half mile, but won the B'ourke Handicap first division brilliantly. Trainer P. Foster also has King Aura. Cervantes led always, in the River Handicap. It was an excellent cup trial. He is trained by his part-owner, T. Oden. Waterline made a brilliant effort in the second division of the Bourke Handicap. He cost his owner 30(H) guineas; in Now Zealand last season and has won four races in Australia. Trainer Skirving won the Bourke Handicap with Imputation in 1923.

Nauru tried to lead throughout in the March Steeples, but tired, and Good Whisky finished well. Trainer Quinlan has; Mystic Peak.
