SYDNEY GAS PRICES
REDUCTION EXPECTED. AMENDING BILL FRAMED. (United Preea Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright). Received 2 p.m to-day. SYDNEY, Feb. 24. Mr. Justice Davidson, the Eoyal Commissioner, having reported that the prices of gas at present charged in Sydney are not in excess of the amount required to pay statutory dividends, the Minister of Mines Don. Baddeley, announces a Bill amending the Gas Act and removing the right of a fixed dividend at 8 per cent. The effect is expected to he a reduction m the price of gas.
