BANKRUPT LABOURER
CREDITORS’ MEETING LAPSES. Creditors in the bankrupt estate of Donald William Robinson, labourer, ol Hawera, were to have met this afternoon, but the meeting lapsed for want of a quorum. The liabilities total 6s 3d, and the assets nil In stating- that his indebtedness wai> comparatively small, bankrupt added that he was now out of work, and with a family of live children to support there was no prospect of meeting his 'liabilities. Several of his creditors had pressed him and he had had no remedy but to file. A few months ago he had purchased a car with the intention of building a small body on it to do carrying work but he had been unable to keep up his payments and the car had been taken back. Mis other debts were for household necessities and he had no assets beyond \U little furniture. He could make no offer to his creditors. The principal creditors, all being unsecured, are: G. Robinson, £l4; M. Kelsen, £6 2s; E. Higgs, £5 14s 6d; Dr. J. M. Young, £4 14s 6d; D. Straehan, £5 16s 6d ; Farmers’ Co-op. Society, £3O; the other amounts ranged down to ss.
