Paitonu, Bon Five’, Orby’s Choice, Kawliakina, Banbridge. Callapat, Richfield and Green Linnet have been nominated for Rangitikei. M. Conway was successful in turning out two winners, Royal Acre and Gasnapper at Wanganui on Thursday. Joysfiear (secured 'a second for the same stable, while Orby’s Choice ran second and Green Linnet third in their races.

Bon Eve has freshened up and is to be given an opportunity of racing over a bit more ground at Rangitikei. He was out doing light exercise this morning.

Richfield also looks -improved by his outing at New Plymouth and this 'gelding should soon be showing some of his old form.

Awaken is striding along again nicely in her work and will protoalUy be seen ■out next at the Wellington meeting next month.

A win for Orby’s Choice at Wanganui would been a matter of much congratulation for R|. Brough. The youngster was heavily backed but met a better one in Navahq and bad to be content with another second placing. The Tonbridge mare, Anbridge, has been returned to her owner to be spelled meanwhile. J. Fryer has also retired l the two-vear-olds Dapple Song and Attentive for the present. The disappointing The Warden and the two-year-old Summertime have been returned to Wanganui. The -firmer is to be given a trial at hurdle racing later on. The old champion, Rereinoana, is gradually losing his lumber and getting to look something like liis old self. This morning he -sprinted a couple of furlongs with Hampden smartly. ■The tw-oy ear-old P’aparua has also been turned out of training for a spell. This leaves C. Jackson without a horse in work for the first time in- many years.

Chief Link, Silvermine, Biflex and Whirl are being kept at useful exercise work and Tenacre is due to resume work next week.
