CHEMISTS’ CLOSING HOURS
PROSECUTION AT GEEYAIOUTH. (By Telegraph—Pwre Association.) GREYiAIOUT'H, Feb. 16. Two Greymoutli chemists, 'L. P. 'Hogg and AVilliams and Boss, were proceeded against by the inspector of factories for a breach of the Shops and Offices Act, section 31, charged that, not carry, mg on exclusively business as chemists, they failed to dose their shops from (i p.ni. The point raised was whether fancy goods, including clocks and bead necklaces, were toilet requisites. Air AI eld rum to-day decided that necklaces, being used in connection with dressing, could be classed as toilet requisites, but the clocks, not being part of a special toilet set, should not be exposed for sale after hours. Defendants were convicted and ordered! lo pay costs.
