PATEA MEAT CO., LTD.
ANNUAL MEETING. The report presented to the seventh annual general meeting of the i area District Meat Co., Ltd., which is a subsidiary to the company operating Patea meat works, yesterday showed that although no buying operations had been carried out, there was a loss owing to depreciation m the value of the consignments made in the previous year. This amounted to £4ou. Air A. T. Christensen, chairman of directors, presided over a fair attendance of shareholders. , In proposing the adoption ox tne report and balance-sheet, the chairman said there was not much to say in reference to the company. It was recommended by the directors that certain adjustments of accounts be made with the parent company and that a lorrv be sold. . Owm" to the very low price or stock it had been agreed to try to help the position by buying some tor freezing. The chairman added that the company had fulfilled its promise and intention to keep the works going and had benefited the district thereby. Air C.
