CAR AND TRAIN COLLIDE
A MOTORIST KILLED. (By TelegrapD— Press Association.) CAM ALL. Feh. 12. A collision took place at the Malieno railway crossing at 8.45 this morning between a train from Oamaru and a car proceeding to Christchurch. The driver. Mr Knewstubb, oi' Port Chalmers, was taken to Oamaru Hospital. and died an hour after admission. Mrs Knewstubb and daughter (Mrs Turner) are also in hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown. The two Turner children are unhurt. It is thought that tlio ear stalled on the railway line. The crossing is not dangerous.
