OHANGAI
(From Our Own Correspondent). The Ohangai School opened under somewhat sad circumstances last week, with the flag Hying half-mast for the death of a very popular pupil, .Bobby -iinga. Deceased had been in poor health for some time, but his passing was sudden. He. was of a bright and •ippy disposition and was very popular throughout the district. There was a. large attendance of Pakehas and Maoris at the funeral, while his schoolnates formed the chief escort. Rev. Mr. Curran conducted the service and Mr. Tamaka addressed the assemblage u Maori, Rev. Curran translating a :a anti fill address. Many floral tributes ■overed the coffin, including oue< from :he school football team, of which deceased was a prominent member, and me from the teacher.
