VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE. (From Our Own Correspondent). At the monthly meeting of the Kapenga volunteer fire brigade held on Tuesday evening Superintent A. Melville presided over a good attendance. Advice was received that the annual conference this year will be held in Nelson, some time in March. The appointment of a delegate to represent the 'brigade at the conference was held over.

Fireman L. A. Wells was granted leave until -March 4th in order to partake of his annual vacation. The next practise for the Superintendent's silvor butt oils will take place on Tuesday evening.
