01‘ERA HOUSE “TALKIES.” TO-NIG-HT—• 'ON APP ROVAL. ’ ’ Tim directorial genius behind the. filming of the B.D.F. feature, “On Approval,” showing at the Opera Mouse to-night and finally on Monday night, is truly amazing, because of the vivid manner it has hrougiht the life of English society ladies to the screen. When two wealthy society women take two men away with them “on approval” to a house in far-away Scotland to determine whether they would make suitable husbands or not. the brain behind the megaphone must delicately weave a story that is neither serious nor shocking to any section of the community. The jokes of the aristocracy in this production are as refined a.s the people who tell them, and there is not a person who. after seeing this English triumph, will admit he laughed at or enjoyed anything more than the witty dialogue and amusing situations. “On Approval” boasts glorious humour that keeps you holding on to your sides throughout its length. It’s tlm kind of humour that only Tom Walls and bis company can give you. Reserve at Miss Blake's, phone 2713.
