The United States of America has given £IOOO to the earthquake relief fund, states a message from Wellington.

The excellent organisation shown by Mr E. K. Cameron, the secretary of the Farmers’ Union executive in Hawera, in arranging the recent farmers’ rally was the subject of special commendation from delegates at a meeting yesterday.
