SUBMARINE ACCIDENT
EXPLOSION IN CRANKCASE. TWELVE OF CREW INJURED (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) • RUGBY. Feb. 3. The Admiralty announces that an accident occurred in the submarine “Eleven" to-day in the Thames estuary. An explosion occurred in the crankcase "f the port main engine, caused by a temporary seizure -of the piston. Six ratings were seriously injured and six officers suffered minor injuries.
