Newman, with a handicap of 7000, has scored 9335, including breaks -of 1131 and 480. Lindrnm lias reached 1312. his- best brakes being 8-38 and 419. Thurston’s was crowded out. Throughout the season Lindrnm lifts shown himself capable of conceding 7000 to the* majority of the competitors, but Newman’s brilliant improvement renders the handicap severe, and indicates the greatest- fight in his career. Newman’s early lead has increased his handicap. This was obtained through several series of close cannons, Iris skill being equal to that of the Australian.
