•irnci i.nt: competition. A judging competition was held by members of the Hawera Poultry Club lasi evening, the placings of the* official judge (Mr, J. ft. Wilson) lining: White Leghorn cockerel: C. H. Barker I, (i. L. Gaylard 2 and 3. White Leghorn pullets, G. L. Gaylard 1 and 2, Miss Baker 3. Black Orpington cockerel, J. C. Harding J, G. L. Gaylard 2 and 3. Black Orpington pullet: F. A. Warren 1, Cl. L. Gaylard 2, Miss Swadling 3. In the competition those whose judging agreed with that of Mr. Wikon wore White Leghorn cockerel, Airs. L. Stokes, Miss Swadling, ft. Gayhml, A. Bryant, L Stokes, L. Barker, 15. Samoson. White Leghorn pullet, L. Stokes. Black Orpington cockerel. Alls L. Stokes, Mrs. C. Marker. Black Oi pington pullet, none. Arrangements were made for the club’s annual picnic to be held at Ivau pokonui beach.
