Marion, and includes John Miljan, Boris Karloff, Gibson Gowiand, Edmund Breese. Mathilde Comont and Mack Swain, spent two months on location in Mazatlan seaport of Sinaloa State Mexico, on the Gull ol Can fornia.

The story centres about an ocean mammal filmed for the first time. The sea. bat, from which the production takes its name, is a giant ray, weighin" several tons and with a wing, spread on the ocean of ten feet or more. Something new in talkie entertainment will be presented to theatre-goers at the Eiltliam Theatre to-night, when the melodrama “Temple' Tower,' with Kenneth McKenna as “Bulldog Drummond.” This production, instrinsically a spine-chilling melodrama, is also something: entirely different—something that may be best described as sophisticated, lint which is so treated as to enhance the thrills of the story as well as to afford lighter moments. The story deals with jewels, stolen by a. gang of Apaches under the direction of the “Masked Strangler.” The picture begins with an investigation by Captain Drummond, and his friend. Peter Darrell, of some queer happenings at the “Temple Tower” an ancient Elnglish estate. The dauntless adventures, which involve Drnmate preparations Blackton uses to shield himself from visitors, and by a very .personable young lady who also wants to get inside the grim walls of the tower. After an exciting series of adventures,’, which involve Drummond’s near-strangling at the hands of Be Bossu Ma.sque, much clamouring over spiked walls, and thrilling encounters with other members of the gang, there is a surprising outcome in which the real identity of the strangler is revealed. Kenneth McKenna, enacts the role of the sprightly Drummond, with Mareeline Day as the mysterious heroine. The great thrill of the picture is the disclosure of the masked strangler.
