In view of the Billiards Council reservations in invitation to the iconfeipnee that the championship must be decided on West of England cdoth, with the final played at Birmingham, Lindrum, McConachy, Davis and Newman in a letter to the council say they have unanimously decided there will lie little good in accepting the invitation and “it is our intention to promote our own tournament, details of which we are acquainting you with later.”
