ENDURANCE SWIMMING RECORD
AMERICAN VISITOR’S PLANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 19. Mis® Mercedes Gleitze proposes to beat her endurance swimming record of 42 hours, established at Dublin, at the Boys’ Institute baths, starting on. December 31 and .swimming the old year out and the new one in. No further plans have been made for her Cook Strait swim, but on Cliristmas Day she will go out with a boatman, Tait, to consider the possible starting point.
