John Noel Bennett, son of a wealthy theatre owner in London, is believed to have perished from exposure while trekking through the mountains from Alberta to Vancouver in a world education tour before entering Cambridge. He was last seen alone. He ignored old-timers’ warnings that he was illfitted for battling against the dangers of the wilderness.
