Mr G. T. Wilson, of the railways head office, staff, has been, appointed assistant district traffic manager at Wellington, states a Press Association message. The friends of Mr Percy Merrie, of Manaia, who has been an inmate of the Hawera Hospital for the last six months, will be pleased to hear that he is making good progress towards recovery.
