HYMN DROWNS “RED FLAG. INCIDENT AT DEDICATION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) S\ DNEY. Dec. 10. At Newcastle 5000 coal miners today made a pilgrimage to the grave of Norman Brown, the victim of the police shooting during the Rothbury riots 12 mouths ago. • A memorial erected by the miners was dedicated, tiller which lhe miners’ president invited the crowd to sing the “Red Flag.’' A number of women dressed in black protested, ami begun singing “Nearer !3fy God to Thee,’’ causing a- discord which finally drowned the “Red Flag." The miners’ president apologetically announced that lie would not have called for the “Red Flag" had he anticipated a clash. , •v, -
